We have already tested two different versions of the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro in the past: the 14ACH5 with the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX and the OLED variant with the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS.

Now the new generation with Intel processors, the 14-inch compact Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro, has been put to the test. The 14IAP G7 configuration comes with the Intel Core i5-1240P processor from the current Alder Lake generation, Intel Iris Xe 80EUs graphics and 16GB of LPDDR5-4800 RAM as well as a 512 GB SSD.

In review, the subnotebook, which costs around 1,000 Euros, performs well in many respects. The twelve-core CPU delivers solid performance, but is very energy-hungry under load, which results in an unsatisfactory battery life of one hour under load. On the other hand, the device lasts for a good 8.5 and almost 11 hours, respectively, when surfing and watching videos.

Regarding the battery, it is immediately clear that Lenovo has cut back in the wrong place. The 65-watt power supply could have certainly been a little bit larger, since the device is not supplied with adequate power under load. Accordingly and additionally, it is forced to draw from the battery, which does not bode well for the long term life of the battery.

A largely positive aspect is the matte and bright 2.8K display in 16:10 format, which is bright enough for working outdoors. The device is also pleasantly quiet in use, but heats up quite a bit under load. All other test results and impressions of the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro 14IAP G7 can be found in our review here.
